Hundreds of unwanted items from a Scottish castle bought by Alan Carr are set to go under the hammer.
The Traitors star bought the A-listed Ayton Castle in the Scottish Borders, which was on the market for offers over £3.25 million, earlier this year.
Ahead of the 50-year-old moving into the property, over 400 items left behind by the previous owner are being auctioned off.
Alanās search for a property and life after purchasing a historic castle will be documented through a series on Disney+.
Items include 19th-century artwork, Victorian beds, rugs and ceramics with prices ranging from just a few hundred pounds.
One of the more expensive items up for auction is a five-seater Bentley with 40,000 recorded miles, which could go for anywhere between £20,000 and £30,000.
Also included in the auction are Northumberland folk art creations from the Branxton Cement Menagerie.
The concrete āweird and wonderfulā animal and figural sculptures were created by a retired joiner in the 1960s to entertain his disabled son.
The collection grew to more than 200 items with Railtons auctioneers describing it as āwhat began as a fatherās labour of love became a much-loved visitor attractionā.
After being sold, it was relocated to Ayton Castle in 2021.
The ticket-only auction will take place at the castle on July 4 and will be filmed for the Disney+ show.
Alan previously shared how he planned to open the castle up to the local community.
Speaking on the Staying Relevant podcast with Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks, Alan said he had bought the castle with the intention of living in it and rubbished reports that he will turn it into a luxury hotel and spa.
āI fell in love with this castle. Iāve always wanted a castle. I want it filled with animals; itās not a spa, and itās not a hotel. When you see what I want to do with it, youāll love it ā community-based, Iāve got all this land, a bit of rewilding, looking after animals.
āIt is my home, I have bought it, and Iām selling up and moving up there. Iām 50, I want a change.ā
Alan added that he wants to make the castle and grounds a āmagicalā place for locals.
āIāve got the survey now, and Iām waiting for the keys to come. Itās a lovely community, really small, and I want it to be magicalā, he said.
