Govt launches campaign to boost tourism via more travel deals

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Tourism (DOT) has launched the "Discover More to Love" campaign, offering more than 3,000 travel deals from hotels, airlines, tour operators, and online travel platforms to encourage Filipinos to explore local destinations while supporting community-based tourism and businesses.

The campaign, which runs from July to November 2026, features discounts of up to 70 percent, value-for-money travel packages, and a newly improved DOT website that connects travelers with accredited tourism enterprises and direct booking options.

“True to its mandate, the DOT will promote destinations, provide tourism information, and connect travelers with accredited tourism enterprises,” Tourism Secretary Bernardita Angara-Mathay said.

“Our job is to make it easier for travelers to discover legitimate destinations and tourism providers, while remaining faithful to the principles of transparency, accountability, and good governance,” she added.

The initiative, launched during the Central Philippines Tourism Expo 2026 in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, complements the "Love the Philippines" brand and has gained strong backing from tourism industry leaders seeking to strengthen domestic travel and economic activity.
