Bosnia and Herzegovina's World Cup journey will continue against the United States.
Bosnia and Herzegovina clinched a Round of 32 berth by finishing third in Group B with four points after a 3-1 win over Qatar. That was enough to secure one of the tournament's eight best third-place spots and set up a knockout meeting with Group D winner USA on July 1 in Santa Clara, California.
The winner will advance to the Round of 16, while Bosnia and Herzegovina will look to pull off one of the tournament's biggest upsets against an unbeaten U.S. side.

FIFA determined the World Cup 2026 knockout-round bracket well in advance. The eight third-place teams will each play a team that finished first in its group.
With FIFA wanting to ensure that no teams from the same group meet again before the quarterfinals, third-place teams are slotted into the bracket based on which groups have third-place teams advancing.
In most of the combinations FIFA ran during the tournament, the third-place team from Group B β Bosnia and Herzegovina β was the most likely opponent for the winner of Group D. That scenario came to fruition and was confirmed after Sweden's draw with Japan on Thursday afternoon.
Scotland moved further toward being eliminated from World Cup contention Friday afternoon as Senegal beat Iraq 5-0.
Senegal was last among third-place teams with no points and a minus-3 goal differential ahead of its final group game. After the blowout win, Senegal went a long way towards securing a spot in the Round of 32 by turning its negative goal differential into a plus-2.
With five groups left to go, Senegal is now fifth in the third-place standings and guaranteed to finish ahead of both South Korea and Scotland via goal differential. So is Iran after its draw against Egypt on Friday night, and it has a better goal differential.
Scotland, currently in 10th, needs help from Ghana and Austria. Both Croatia and Algeria are ahead of Scotland on goal difference heading into their final group games. If Croatia loses by three goals and Algeria loses by two, Scotland can jump back into the top eight.
Uruguay, meanwhile, is out of the World Cup entirely. Uruguay needed a draw against Spain to feel good about its chances of advancing and instead lost 1-0.
With two points, Uruguay has no hope of advancing. It's the second straight group stage exit for the inaugural World Cup champions.
