O'Callaghan to start for Dublin against Galway

Dublin have been boosted by the inclusion of Con O'Callaghan in their starting side for Sunday's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Galway at Croke Park.

Ger Brennan's talisman was his usual influential self in the Round 3 win over Donegal, notching 1-05 (1-04 from play), before limping off with an apparent hamstring injury in extra-time.

Given his fitness travails this year, there were real fears the Cuala man would miss out against the Westerners, but Ger Brennan has named him at centre-forward for the 4pm throw-in (live on RTÉ2).

The only change to the starting 15 is the inclusion of Eoin Kennedy at full-back, O'Callaghan's clubmate replacing Nathan Doran, who is not in the matchday squad after suffering a suspected Achilles injury against Donegal.

Galway have made one change to the side which overcame Westmeath in Round 2A, though there is still no sign of a return for Matthew Thompson, who is not included in the match-day squad.

Shane McGrath comes in at centre-forward, with Fionn McDonagh listed among the substitutes but the starting team is otherwise unchanged from the side that racked up 3-21 against Westmeath.

Last year's Young Footballer of the Year nominee Thompson had been anticipated to make a return for the latter stages of the championship, though has not recovered in time from the injury picked up during his J1 period in the United States. Damien Comer is again held in reserve.

As a mark of respect for the late Paul Clancy, Galway announced they will not be using the No. 10 jersey for Sunday's game. Clancy, a two-time All-Ireland winner with Galway in 1998 and 2001, passed away this week at the age of 49.

Galway: Connor Gleeson; Jack Glynn, Cian Hernon, Liam Silke; Dylan McHugh, John Daly, Seán Kelly; Paul Conroy, John Maher; Céin Darcy, Shane McGrath, Cillian McDaid; Robert Finnerty, Matthew Tierney, Shane Walsh.

Dublin: Evan Comerford; Seán MacMahon, Eoin Kennedy, David Byrne; Lee Gannon, Theo Clancy, Charlie McMorrow; Peadar Ó Cofaigh Byrne, Brian Howard; Colm Basquel, Con O'Callaghan, Niall Scully; Paddy Small, Ciarán Kilkenny, Cormac Costello.

Darragh Canavan is not included in Tyrone's match-day squad for Tyrone's quarter-final against Kerry, while Darren McCurry is again named on the bench.

Canavan's involvement in the championship so far has been heavily curtailed by injury, having been withdrawn after 19 minutes against Armagh. He did not feature in the away win over Roscommon and only made a cameo appearance late on in the victory over Mayo.

However, Canavan has dropped out of the squad altogether for Saturday's clash and is not named among the standby list. Darren McCurry earned the Man of the Match award against Mayo despite only coming on after 45 minutes, scoring 0-06 as Tyrone dug out a narrow win.

However, he remains among the subs this week, as Malachy O'Rourke has kept faith with the same team, with Ethan Jordan retaining his place in the corner.

Meanwhile Kerry have named an unchanged team from the 15 that impressed against Armagh last weekend - Jack O'Connor trusting the same personnel to get the job done against Tyrone on Saturday in their quarter-final clash.

Micheál Burns returns from his two-game suspension to take his place on the bench, following his sending off for his role in the melee that marred Kerry's defeat to Donegal last month.

Tyrone: Niall Morgan; Cormac Quinn, Peter Teague, Joey Clarke; Michael McKernan, Niall Devlin, Kieran McGeary; Brian Kennedy, Conn Kilpatrick; Seanie O'Donnell, Ronan Cassidy, Ciaran Daly; Eoin McElholm, Mattie Donnelly, Ethan Jordan.

Kerry: Shane Murphy; Paul Murphy, Jason Foley, Dylan Casey; Brian Ó Beaglaoich, Mike Breen, Graham O'Sullivan; Mark O'Shea, Seán O’Brien; Joe O’Connor, Paudie Clifford, Diarmuid O’Connor; David Clifford, Paul Geaney (c), Dylan Geaney.

Cork and Mayo have made one change apiece to their starting team ahead of Saturday's All-Ireland quarter-final meeting.

Colm O'Callaghan returns to Cork's midfield after being ruled out of the trip to Ballybofey through suspension.

O'Callaghan was controversially shown a straight red card in the second half of Cork's victory over Meath, a decision which was subsequently upheld after an appeal.

He comes back into midfield alongside Ian Maguire, with Sean Walsh named among the substitutes.

Mayo's only change is enforced with Stephen Coen coming in for Paddy Durcan, who was withdrawn with injury early in their win over Meath in Castlebar.

Cork: Patrick Doyle; Maurice Shanley, Daniel O'Mahony, Seán Meehan; Brian O’Driscoll, Tommy Walsh, Luke Fahy; Ian Maguire, Colm O'Callaghan; Paul Walsh, Dara Sheedy, Seán McDonnell; Mark Cronin, Chris Óg Jones, Steven Sherlock

Mayo: Jack Livingstone; Jack Coyne, Donnacha McHugh, Eoin McGreal; Sam Callinan, David McBrien, Enda Hession; J Flynn, Jack Carney; Stephen Coen, Conor Loftus, Bob Tuohy; Darragh Beirne, Ryan O’Donoghue, Kobe McDonald.

Both Louth and Monaghan have named unchanged sides for their highly anticipated quarter-final on Sunday.

Monaghan manager Gabriel Bannigan has also kept faith with the team that saw off Westmeath last weekend, easing concerns around the fitness of goalkeeper Rory Beggan.

Gavin Devlin has gone with the starting team as Inniskeen under a fortnight ago, as Louth seek to reach a first All-Ireland sem-final since 1957.

Louth: Niall McDonnell; Emmett Carolan, Donal McKenny, Daire Nally; Conall McKeever, Dara McDonnell, Craig Lennon; Sean Callaghan, Paul Mathews, James Maguire, Sam Mulroy, Conor Grimes; Kieran McArdle, Ciaran Downey, Ryan Burns

Monaghan: Rory Beggan; Ryan Wylie, Killian Lavelle, Dylan Byrne; Dessie Ward, Ryan O'Toole, Conor McCarthy; Mícheál McCarville, Karl Gallagher; Aaron Carey, Mícheál Bannigan, Stephen O'Hanlon; Jack McCarron, Andrew Woods, Stephen Mooney.
